Sonali Pathirana

Sonali Pathirana is currently Managing Editor Americas for Bloomberg’s breaking news operations and works at their global headquarters in New York City. She holds a BA in Sociology and an MPhil in Economics from Cambridge University, UK where she was a Commonwealth scholar. She is a committee member of Princeton University’s international host program and has a personal foundation that supports education for girls in Sri Lanka, where she was raised. She is the global diversity champion for Bloomberg News, stands for fairness in the workplace and defends the game of cricket versus all its critics.
